On the 27th of February, the Malta School Games Torch continued its inspiring journey, travelling from STMC Marsaxlokk Primary School to SBC Birżebbuġa Primary School in a unique and memorable relay.
The torch began its journey in the picturesque setting of Marsaxlokk Bay, where it was carefully carried aboard sailing boats across the bay towards Pretty Bay in Birżebbuġa. This symbolic crossing highlighted the spirit of collaboration and unity that the Malta School Games aim to promote among students across the islands. ⛵

Upon its arrival at Pretty Bay, students from Birżebbuġa Primary School were eagerly waiting to receive the torch. With great enthusiasm and excitement, the students welcomed the torch and accompanied it on its final stretch to their school, proudly continuing the relay and embracing the values it represents.
At the school, the torch was celebrated with a vibrant and energetic event organised by the students and educators. The celebration included dancing, fun activities, and a lively atmosphere, reflecting the joy and anticipation surrounding the Malta School Games. The event not only marked the arrival of the torch but also served as an opportunity for students to come together and celebrate the importance of sport, teamwork, and community.

Each stop of the torch relay serves as a reminder of the spirit of the Malta School Games and the important role that sport plays in encouraging healthy lifestyles, cooperation, and mutual respect among young people.
The torch will continue to travel from school to school, spreading the excitement of the Malta School Games and strengthening the chain of celebration across the islands.
