Play. Grow. Excel

Uniting Schools. Inspiring Athletes.

The Malta School Games (MSG) is a national initiative designed to bring together students from schools across Malta and Gozo through the power of sport. The Games aim to promote not only healthy competition but also friendship, teamwork, and lifelong values that extend beyond the playing field.

Organised under the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, the Malta School Games provide opportunities for students of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds to participate in a wide variety of sports. The MSG serves as a platform for fostering school spirit, encouraging grassroots development, and nurturing young talent in a supportive environment.

At the heart of the Malta School Games is the belief that sport has the power to unite communities, strengthen character, and inspire excellence. Whether through team competitions, individual events, or cultural and educational activities surrounding the Games, MSG is about more than winning medals it is about participation, respect, and inclusion.

By celebrating both elite performance and mass participation, the Malta School Games create a space where every student has the chance to shine, develop their skills, and share memorable experiences that will last a lifetime.

Malta School Games Torch Relay:
A Celebration of Unity and Sportsmanship

The Malta School Games Torch Relay is a symbolic and unifying event leading up to the Games, representing the spirit of friendship, teamwork, and fair play at the heart of the MSG.

The torch travels across Malta and Gozo, with students, teachers, and athletes carrying the flame to schools and communities, spreading excitement and anticipation. Each stop celebrates participation and inclusion through sports and cultural activities.

By connecting schools across the islands, the Torch Relay builds pride, inspires young people, and sets the stage for the competitions ahead.
